Dr. Ebadat is CEO of Stonehouse Process Safety, Inc. He has worked extensively as a process safety consultant for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paper/wood, and other process industries globally for over 30 years. Dr. Ebadat is a member of NFPA 77, NFPA 91, NFPA 652, NFPA 654, NFPA 655, and NFPA 660 Technical Committees , and ASTM E27 Committee on Hazard Potential of Chemicals. Earlier in his career, Dr. Ebadat served as CEO of Chilworth Technology, Inc. for more than 20 years. Dr. Ebadat has published many technical articles and papers and is a regular speaker on process safety topics, including dust explosion, static electricity, gas & vapor flammability, and thermal decomposition/self-heating hazard assessment and control.

When not working or thinking about work, Vahid plays (albeit not so well) Santur, a classical Persian musical instrument dating back to 600 BC, reads nineteenth and and early twentieth century history, and enjoys gardening.

As COO, Yassamine works cross-functionally and with clients to manage projects, enable process improvements, and support organizational growth. Prior to joining Stonehouse, Yassamine was Co-Founder and CEO of Vityl, an employee engagement B2B SaaS solution designed to foster employee connection and drive stronger business performance. Previously, Yassamine served as Partner and Consultant at Greater Human Capital, an HR and Operations advisory firm. She also worked as the Director of People and Culture at Echo Energy in Oklahoma City, and in the fields of employee engagement, social impact, and communications at companies such as JPMorgan Chase, Macmillan Publishers, and Publicis Groupe.

Yassamine earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, with a concentration in Social Enterprise Administration. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from The George Washington University.

Outside of work, Yassamine enjoys staying active through barre and pilates, reading, baking, and spending time with her 2 young daughters.

Farzin has over three decades of experience leading manufacturing and global EHS/Engineering teams with a specific focus on Process Safety, culminating with the position of Director, Global Process Safety with a multinational consumer goods corporation. He has a passion for applying his strong technical engineering background and extensive operational and leadership skills to make step-change improvements in high-achieving organizations. Farzin’s experience spans design, construction, operation and maintenance of process safety systems and he has strong expertise with Process Safety Management, management of highly hazardous chemicals, fire & explosion risk assessments, layers of protection, process safety integrity, EHS auditing and more.

In addition to his professional activities, Farzin has a long record of coaching and mentoring young engineers in their professional and personal pursuits.  In his personal time, he is an avid reader, hiker, adventure-traveller, and community volunteer.

Paul is chairman and co-founder of Stonehouse Process Safety Inc. Paul has worked in the process industries for more than 30 years, largely in the field of process safety. Earlier in his career, Paul co-founded and served as CEO of Chilworth Technology, a leading global provider of process safety consulting, training, and testing services. After gaining a doctorate in physics (Oxford) Paul began his career as a safety engineer with a major UK-based oil company and has conducted university research on electrostatics and dust explosions research, publishing many papers and articles. Paul has served on national standards committees and won awards for his work in safety.

In his time off, Paul enjoys sailing from island to island in the warm waters of the Mediterranean.

Richard Prugh is a Professional Engineer who has has been involved in process safety for all his career, providing auditing and engineering services to small and large chemical and petrochemical companies throughout the United States and in 23 foreign countries. His experience includes serving on an eight-member team that evaluated the process-safety status and safety culture on 15 off-shore platforms and with on-shore interviews of safety, engineering, and management staff. Since 1985, he has provided process safety consulting and engineering services to the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, wood, pulp/paper, metal. and petrochemical industries throughout the United States and globally. Dick has many publications (also in book) over a 25 year period. He has academic credential & honors in Quantitative Risk Assessment, Master of Science (Stevens Institute of Technology) and Bachelor of Science (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

Dick is involved in several “extracurricular” activities:  Tennis (USTA Senior Team and Club); Jogging; Church Handbell Choir (bass bells); Piano; Cruising; Coin Collecting (BC Roman); and “Process Safety Progress” Editorial Board (review/judge contributions to PSP).

Victoria has been working for more than 25 years in the administration, marketing and managing in the world of process safety! As Operations Manager at Stonehouse, if you are a client, you will have come across Victoria in some way. She is the one who ‘keeps the wheels on the bus’, scheduling work, and keeping everyone on track. She knows everyone and how everything works. She’ll also be liaising with you directly on operational matters whenever it’s needed.

In her spare time, Victoria enjoys going to concerts and spending time with her friends, and at home with her cats. She is a true crime and horror movie junkie.

Heather Calabro brings over 25 years of diverse laboratory experience across industries such as petrochemical, metallurgical, and compressed gases. As a laboratory manager, she combines her extensive expertise with a commitment to quality and safety, ensuring her team consistently delivers high-quality data to clients. Heather is skilled at fostering strong client relationships, working closely with them to understand their testing needs and providing efficient solutions for timely results. Additionally, her involvement in safety committees and emergency response teams allows her to integrate her professional knowledge with a strong focus on maintaining safe operational practices.

In her spare time, Heather enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family.
